Application

Bearings are rolling elements used in pallet trucks and forklifts. They enable smooth rotational motion of components (wheels, rollers, mast parts) while reducing friction and wear.

Hazards

• Damage to the truck or other assemblies when using worn or unsuitable bearings.
• Possible seizure of movement and loss of stability with a damaged bearing.
• Risk of injury during installation/removal (pinching, sharp edges).
• Failure and overloading due to inadequate lubrication or improper operation.

Precautions

• Inspect bearings regularly and replace if wear, noise or play is detected.
• Use appropriate tools and protective gloves during installation/removal.
• Use only bearings that meet the equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
• Ensure correct lubrication as specified in the operating manual.

Disposal

Dispose of worn bearings via metal waste collection points or authorised recyclers. Do not dispose of with household waste.
