Electromagnetic Brake with T15 Cables

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR), we present below the safety rules for the use of electromagnetic brakes (electrobrakes) in pallet trucks.

Application

Electrobrakes are part of the pallet truck drive system, ensuring effective braking when stationary and providing safety during loading and transport.

Installation and mounting

• Installation and removal must be carried out only by qualified service personnel.
• Use only brakes suitable for the specific pallet truck model, according to manufacturer specifications.
• After installation, check correct engagement and release to avoid jamming or incomplete release.

Operation

• Use the electrobrake only for its intended purpose – as a parking and holding brake.
• Avoid overloads that may reduce braking efficiency.
• If persistent braking, wheel blockage, or unusual noises occur, stop use immediately and contact service.

Operating conditions

• Operate only under conditions specified by the manufacturer (temperature, humidity, dust).
• Protect the brake from direct water exposure, dust, and aggressive chemicals.

Maintenance

• Regularly check the condition of the brake – including electromagnetic parts, spring, brake disc, and wiring.
• If dirty, clean with a dry or lightly oiled cloth; do not use aggressive cleaners or high-pressure water.
• Check and, if necessary, adjust the mechanical clearance between the brake and the mating surface.

Transport and storage

• Store in a dry, clean place, protected from moisture and corrosion.
• During transport, protect against shocks and falls – electrobrakes contain sensitive electromagnetic parts.

Disposal

Used or damaged electrobrakes must be delivered to an e-waste collection point or a recycling service for electronic and metal components. Do not dispose of with household waste.
