Safety Information

In line with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR), below are the safety guidelines for a pallet truck control panel.

Application

The control panel is the central control element. It enables travel direction selection, stopping, fork lifting and lowering, horn operation, use of the emergency stop and the ignition switch.

Hazards

• Risk of electric shock due to incorrect connection or working on live circuits.
• Risk of unintended movement if switches or the emergency stop malfunction.
• Accident risk from jammed buttons/levers (lift/lower).
• Damage due to moisture, dust, oils or mechanical impacts.

Safe Use

1. Installation and replacement must be performed by qualified personnel only.
2. Disconnect power and prevent accidental start-up before any service work.
3. Routinely inspect buttons, switches and the ignition; replace damaged or sluggish components immediately.
4. Verify the emergency stop function; the truck must stop instantly.
5. Keep the panel clean; prevent debris from obstructing controls.
6. Protect against water, oils and chemicals; use appropriate covers for harsh environments.
7. Do not apply excessive force to buttons/levers; operate as intended.
8. After installation/repair, test: travel direction, stop, lift/lower, horn, emergency stop and ignition switch.
9. On abnormalities (no response, self-actuation, burning smell) power down immediately and contact service.

Disposal

Treat used or damaged control panels as electrical/electronic waste. Dispose of via authorized collection points in accordance with local regulations. Do not discard with household waste.
