Safety Information

In line with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR), below are the safety guidelines for electronic displays used on pallet trucks.

Application

The electronic display is part of the truck’s control system and indicates:
• battery state of charge,
• total operating hours,
• (optionally) diagnostic and warning messages.

Hazards

• Risk of electric shock when installing/servicing while energized.
• Risk of damage due to overvoltage, short circuits or incorrect polarity.
• Risk of component overheating at elevated ambient temperatures.
• Mechanical damage to the screen from impacts, pressure or severe vibration.
• Loss of readability due to contamination, moisture ingress or scratches.

Safe Use

1. Installation and replacement must be carried out by qualified personnel only.
2. Disconnect power and prevent accidental start-up before any wiring work.
3. Do not modify or self-repair — electronics are precise and sensitive.
4. Routinely verify the plausibility of indications (battery, hours) and report anomalies.
5. Protect the display from moisture, dust, oils and UV; clean with a soft, dry cloth.
6. Do not block any ventilation openings.
7. If blank screen, flicker or burning smell occurs, power down immediately and contact service.
8. Store spare displays dry and clean, in anti-static packaging.

Disposal

Treat used or damaged displays as electrical/electronic waste. Dispose of via authorized collection points in accordance with local regulations. Do not discard with household waste.
