Drive wheel motor LT20

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR), we present below the safety rules for the use of drive motors in pallet trucks.

Application

The drive motor is part of the pallet truck’s drive system, responsible for moving the vehicle. It ensures smooth maneuvering and enables the safe transport of loads in warehouses and production halls.

Installation and connection

• Installation and removal must be carried out only by qualified service personnel.
• Use only motors that meet the manufacturer’s technical specifications.
• Before connecting, ensure the electrical system is disconnected from the power supply.

Operation

• Use the motor only as intended, in the specified type of pallet truck.
• Do not overload the motor by exceeding the pallet truck’s rated capacity.
• Do not use in environments with high dust, humidity, or chemicals unless designed for such conditions.
• Avoid sudden braking and excessive strain during operation.

Operating conditions

• Operate only within the ambient temperature range specified by the manufacturer.
• Protect the motor from direct water exposure and extreme weather conditions.

Maintenance

• Regularly check the motor’s technical condition, including cables, brushes, bearings, and fasteners.
• If unusual noises, burning smells, or overheating occur, stop operation immediately and contact service.
• Clean the motor housing with a dry cloth; do not use corrosive cleaners or high-pressure water.

Transport and storage

• Store in a dry, clean environment, away from moisture and dust.
• During transport, protect against shocks and mechanical damage.

Disposal

Used or damaged drive motors must be taken to an e-waste collection point or a recycling facility. Do not dispose of with household waste.
