Safety Information – Mast Rollers for Forklifts
In line with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR), the following rules apply to the safe use of mast rollers (mast bearings) in forklifts.
- Intended Use
Mast rollers guide mast sections during lifting/lowering of forks. Use only with structurally compatible forklift models. Do not modify or use in other assemblies.
- Installation
To be fitted by qualified service personnel or experienced technicians. Ensure correct seating and retention; diameter/shape must match the manufacturer’s specification.
- Operation
Rollers must run in clean, properly lubricated channels. Contamination or lack of lubrication accelerates wear and may cause seizure.
- Operating Conditions
Use as per the truck manufacturer’s guidance; avoid excessive dust and moisture without proper maintenance.
- Maintenance
Before operation, inspect raceways and bearings. Replace immediately if cracks, play, raceway wear or rotation resistance are detected. Regular lubrication extends service life.
- Hazards of Misuse
- mast jamming,
- uneven lifting performance,
- increased risk of mast damage or accidents.
- Transport & Storage
Store dry and clean, protected from corrosion and mechanical damage.
- Disposal
Dispose of used rollers via metal scrap collection. Do not discard with household waste.
The product complies with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety.
