There are 5 classes of carriages distinguished by the load capacity of the forklift. The type "A" or "B" depends on the height at which the lower fork hook is located.

How to correctly choose the fork class?

To determine the fork class, measure the distance between the hooks (Fig. H2).

To determine the type "A" or "B," measure the distance from the bottom of the forks to the top hook (Fig. H1).

Compare the obtained dimensions with the data in the table below.

Example: If dimension H2 = 382 mm and H1 + 546, the forks fit into class 2B.

To ensure safety during work, caution should be exercised, and the technical condition of the forks should be checked regularly. Helpful guidelines:

Forks are a replaceable part, regardless of resistance; they wear out due to friction on the ground. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically check the thickness of the fork blade, as it affects their load capacity.

Avoid lifting loads with the tips of the forks or only one of them.

Ensure timely inspection of the forks - no less frequently than every 12 months.
