Alternator for Toyota 7FG / 8FG Forklift – 12V 50A, 4Y and 5K engines

This alternator is designed for Toyota 7FG and 8FG forklifts equipped with 4Y and 5K engines (petrol / LPG). The 12V system and 50A output match the electrical setup used in these units.

OEM number: 27060-78158-71.

Construction

The housing is made of aluminum. Its shape and mounting layout follow the design used in 4Y and 5K engines, making it easier to fit into the existing system.

The voltage regulator and fan are integrated into a single unit.

At the rear, you will find:

  • electrical connector (plug type)
  • power output terminal (threaded stud)

Mounting

A standard two-point mounting system is used:

  • the lower mounting point acts as a pivot
  • the upper bracket allows belt tension adjustment

The distance between mounting holes is 160 mm, with diameters of 6 mm and 10 mm.

This setup matches the configuration used in these engines, so installation does not require any modifications to the forklift.

Pulley

A standard pulley without an overrunning clutch is used. It works with the belt drive system found in 4Y and 5K engines.
