Alternator G221 for Bułgar Forklifts DV1661, DV1733, DV1786, DV1792

The alternator is designed for Bułgar (Balkancar) forklift trucks of models DV1661, DV1733, DV1786 and DV1792. It is a replacement for the units used in these machines and corresponds to the design of the G221 alternator.

It operates in a 12V system and generates a charging voltage of approximately 14V with a current of around 40–45A.

The alternator does not have a built-in voltage regulator. For proper operation, an external regulator compatible with the vehicle’s electrical system is required.

Construction and design

The alternator housing is made of aluminium.

The pulley works with the V-belt used in Perkins D2500 and Perkins D3900 engines.

The design is adapted for use with an external voltage regulator.

The alternator fits Bułgar (Balkancar) forklift trucks:

  • DV1661
  • DV1733
  • DV1786
  • DV1792

Used in machines equipped with Perkins D2500 and Perkins D3900 engines.

Selection and installation

The alternator should be selected as model G221.

Before installation, check:

  • pulley diameter and type
  • electrical connection type
  • compatibility with the used voltage regulator

A mismatch of the regulator prevents proper charging.
